This is a family that lives in the country. It may be on a farm because in the first picture one of the older daughters is just leaving the chicken coop. It looks as though she just fed the chickens because they are in a group and look as though they are pecking at some grain on the ground. The girl might be 17 or 18 years old and is holding a small bucket. Perhaps the chores had to be done before the fishing trip would begin. In the second picture the same girl is still close to her house. She is holding two fishing poles and to the left is a child, possibly a younger sister, while to the right is the family dog. I think that this is to be the start of the trip. There may be a brook down the road behind her.

In the third picture (below) the same girl and a young man, possibly her older brother, are carrying a board toward the area where the group will fish. At this point it is obvious that the person who is taking these photographs is making a record of the occasion, taking both posed and candid shots.

An irresistible photo-op of the "youngest fisherman." The land on which they live is not completely flat, and he stands upon a tiny hill, proudly holding a fishing rod. He appears to be wearing white knickers, black stockings and button shoes, a dark jacket and a cap. He looks about six years old.

The group gathers beside the road for a picture together with their fishing paraphernalia. Once again we see the young lady and the gentleman who helped her carry the board to the stream. He is wearing a hat and in both this photograph and the previous one he seems to be smoking or holding something in his mouth. There are seven children. The girl on the far right holds a bucket (bait?), but the girl with the blonde hair (third from the left) is wearing a rather fancy dress for fishing. Perhaps some of the children are cousins or relatives visiting.

This is the most unique of the family pictures. In the center is the teenaged girl from the first photo, but now there is an adult woman and a baby on the left. Five of the eight children are in the branches of a tree, including the little girl with the fancy dress! Below there is a picture of six of the children posing by the stream. The baby from the previous picture is in the center. The dog on the left is not the same one that was in an earlier picture.

Are the two pictures below from the same day or a different day???

Here we see the family's fishing spot. Note that they are sitting on the boards that were brought to the stream. But in these two pictures some things are different. Now there are two men, one with a hat and another with a cap. Although the teenager we saw in the first picture is still here and wearing the same dress, some of the children are wearing different clothes from before. The girl who was wearing the fancy white dress is now wearing one more casual and everyone is wearing a coat or jacket. I wish I knew more about where this was or who the family is, but there are no clues so that must remain a mystery.
